The Inferno Engine
RPGs with ease
Created by Aaron J. Miller, and Kieran J. Wood
© AEX.UNI Software

Description
The Inferno Engine is an intuitive, easy-to-use, RPG designer. It is intended for both 3D, and 2D use. It is being programmed in NuclearFusion and Dev-C++. Both Kieran, and I, will be working on this equally.

Extra Information
The old thread for it is here. We intend on getting a website for the engine up and running. The website wouldn't be soley based on the engine, but also on the AEX.UNI company (Consisting of Kieran, and I).

The new one could use a little aliasing around the skull and the white text is a little-bit hard to read in the middle, mainly the 'Created by' part. Other than that it's a pretty cool setup :)

@Kieran
Heh heh. On NuclearGlory I believe you can attatch mutliple images/files to your post, not just one like on TGC. :)

I like the last one you gave, but I think you should put the skull in the 3rd one <With antialiasing>. :)

Cheers,

EDIT: Public Note
I also seemed to have forgotten to mention the XEC format. The XEC format is the executable format for my Operating System and can be emulated on Windows (And hopefully Linux). The Inferno Engine would be able to export to this format, as well as build executables, and export code for numerous programs <The most widely supported would obviously be Nuclear Basic and Nuclear Fusion (Under Dev-C++)>.

In addition to that, I would be working on several things that might be implemented into Nuclear Fusion itself, with Matthew's conscent, if they are not implemented then they would be sold as plugins for Nuclear Fusion, hopefully on this website, if not then through my own company (Kieran is vice president of the company) <Where donations would be given to this company>. Those things include a loader for severel formats, those planned <And are subject to change> are 3DS, MD2, and OBJ. A terrain engine. And a software renderer which supports 3D and 2D graphics <3D to a certain extent>.

EDIT: Kieran
I await you to help me design the Inferno Engine website. :) Hopefully can be located at "http://www.infernoengine.co.nr", and definately a "part" of http://www.nuclearfusion3d.com/ajm/ :)

are you going to be releasing source?

That way, if someone wants to port it over to Windows, they could...they'd just need NF

*runs*

It runs natively on Windows. ;) The full-source will be sold for a hefty fee, however, "half" the source would be given along with the product. The product may range between $20-$60 (USD).

Sounds like fun.  As far as I know there hasn't been a good 3D RPG designer made yet.  I still remember RPG Maker 1 and 2 for the playstation systems :P

Yeah we think the price will be $50 currently, it probably will not change but in case it does, im just stating now that it may.

Also we are going to make a "test game" which is a small game we will be making to test all of the features of The Inferno Engine.

Some progress has been done on models and here is one of the swords I have made, feedback is appreciated ^_^

EDIT: Here is a hooded figure i made for the test island, holding the above sword. ( well its below now ;) ) There are legs under his robe as well as feet so don't think i cheated :P
